Show Halters
A halter, or in this catagory a show halter, also less often called a headstall, is a type of headgear that is used to lead or tie up an animal or more commonly, horses.
The horse halter typically made from leather or nylon. It fits behind the ears of the horse and around the muzzle. To handle the horse, a lead or leadline of similar material is attached to the halter beneath the muzzle. Horse show halters are often confused with a bridle or headstall. The main difference between a halter and a bridle or headstall is that a halter is used by the handler on the ground to lead or tie up the horse. A bridle or headstall is generally used by a person who is actually riding the horse.
